SUSTAINABLE TOURISM PROJECT

I served first as the Project Architect and  later, Project Director for the Sustainable Tourism Project leading the programming, planning, schematic design, procurement and project management of +30million BZD in tourism investment throughout the country of Belize. 

In 2006 The Ministry of Tourism in partnership with the IADB established the internationally funded Sustainable Tourism Project (STP) in a committed effort by the Government to compliment the expanding private sector investment within the industry. I led the consultancy team in the creation of the country’s long-term 2030 National Sustainable Tourism Master Plan for Belize as the most comprehensive tourism planning document to be developed in country to date. The project included funding hardscape government investments within strategic emerging tourism destinations in order to expand and optimize the tourism experience and develop their unique product offerings.
